Why should I send my child to a Biblically-based school?

Many people have asked this question, especially when faced with the fact that this type of school cost more money to attend than a regular State funded public school. Christian education is not an alternative. It is not a luxury. It is not just a good idea. It is the law of God. The Bible speaks of our responsibility to teach our children about God and the things of God.

Deuteronomy 6:4-9

Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD: And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

Proverbs 22:6

Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Our children are the most precious possessions in life. They have eternal destinies, and they are our greatest heritage. We cannot afford not to give our children a Biblical education! The cost of not obeying the Word of God is too high a price to pay. We simply cannot afford to disregard the instruction of the Word of God at the expense of our own children!

Christian education doesn’t cost; it pays.

When God led the Israelites out of Egypt, and delivered them from bondage under the hand of Pharaoh, do you suppose that they woke their children up, washed their faces, fed them breakfast, and then sent them back down the path to school in Egypt? Of course not! But that is what we are doing when a Christian sends their child to learn from a secular school.

If you send them to Egypt, you’ll get back Egyptians!
